How We Manage Your Information
- We will never "spam" you.
We do send notifications for events that involve you, but you can turn these notifications off.
- We will never disclose your personal information without your permission.
We will never sell, rent or share your personal information with a 3rd party,
especially your email addresses and phone numbers, without your explicit permission, unless required by law.
- We will only access your personal information when:
- You specifically request us to do so (e.g. you need technical support).
- It is required by law.
- It is necessary to maintain our system.
- We will protect your information from other users.
No one else is allowed to see your personal information unless you give your explicit permission. Information about you can only be added to our system by someone who already has your contact information by some other means.
- If we choose to to sell, rent or share information about user habits, it will be aggregated information only.
For example, we could collect and share information like "what was the average rental rate reported for someone living in San Francisco when last year?" but we would NOT share information like "which people had a reported rental rate greater than $2000 for rent in San Francisco last year?"
What We Collect

The personal information that we collect depends upon exactly which of our services you decide to use. All passwords are stored on our server in encrypted form - not even we can tell what they are! If you lose your password, we will help you generate a new one.

We collect this information on behalf of you and the other users of the service who are all involved in the same property rental application. We may only share this information with those people that you explicitly request that we share it with.
- References: submitted by you and about you
A reference is a set of answers to a series of survey questions about someone. You may either submit or receive a reference; however, no reference will be added to your personal information without your explicit permission and your references will not be added to someone else's personal information without their explicit permission.
- Score: calculated for you
The iRISQ Score is a number or letter that summarizes the nature of the feedback that you have both received and given at iRISQ. We attempt to make sure that this summarization of fair and resistant to different types of fraud and bias but the system isn't perfect. Your iRISQ score may change as you are involved in submitting and receiving references and rebuttals.
- Rebuttals: submitted by you and about you
A rebuttal is a set of responses to the answers contained within a reference. You may submit a rebuttal to any reference you choose to receive in order to indicate your agreement or disagreement to the answers contained with the reference. Any reference you submit may also be subject to a rebuttal.
- Usage: Number of logins, last login, activity and error logs
This data helps us monitor iRISQ's health and performance and to diagnose errors and performance if they occur.
